Data Protection Policy

Our organisation contacts mainly the medical community, scientists, experts, government agencies and NGOs via email or telephone for the purposes of providing information about our charitable work. The Charity's objects are to advance education and relieve sickness by the publication and dissemination of research and other knowledge concerning the incidence and causes of cancer and other diseases & disorders, the promotion of research into the incidence and causes of cancer and other diseases & disorders, and the promotion of practices leading to reduction in the incidence of cancer and other diseases & disorders. Cancer shall be understood to cover all related diseases including but without limitation to solid tumours, leukaemia, lymphomas, etc. The information we provide is news and science to do with causes of cancer and other diseases and ways to prevent them. This information is provided on a legitimate interest basis.

Personal information is held securely. We hold email addresses in a computer and a data base that is password protected. We do not hold private information about individuals such as the date of birth, except in the case of our staff and trustees

Your information will not normally be shared with third parties other than Faelix who provide hosting and email services on our behalf. Your email address may on occasion be visible to other recipients in emails from us, both in the European Union and elsewhere.

We also hold personnel information on our staff and trustees and contact details for our suppliers, for so long as is required for the purposes of our internal administration.
